| | e-Census launches its new look and another service – online application for certificate of no marriage record or CENOMAR (Singleness). The new e-Census combines a more professional appearance with the ease of online application and thus making it simpler for clients to find what they need. Help is just a click away for frequently asked questions and for verifying status of clients’ requests. With the addition of online application for CENOMAR (Singleness) requests, e-Census completes its offerings for a more efficient delivery of civil registry services to more people anytime, anywhere!
|
| | | | The National Statistics Office (NSO) integrates technology with customer service to enhance public service delivery in e-Census. e-Census customers can now submit and pay for requests online. The website offers civil registry services such as copy issuance of birth, marriage and death certificates.
e-Census is the web component of the NSO-Civil Registry System (NSO-CRS) information technology project, a partnership of NSO and Unisys Philippines, Inc. The partnership has tapped the online payment facilities of Union Bank of the Philippines and Kabayan Central Networks, Inc. Now, e-Census customers have the freedom to choose the most convenient payment mode.
For local requests, customers can go to any UnionBank branch nationwide for over-the-counter payments or use UnionBank’s ATMs. UnionBank account holders can also pay online using UnionBank Online Banking. |
| | | For foreign requests, e-Census allows customers to take advantage of the online credit card payment facility of KabayanCentral.com. The facility accepts credit cards issued in the U.S., Canada and Europe, such as Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover cards. Foreign correspondent banks can still receive payments for e-Census requests.
With these developments, e-Census simplifies and opens a speedier access to NSO’s civil registry services — anytime, anywhere — forging its vision towards true e-governance. |
| | | | The National Statistics Office (NSO) garnered top marks at the 1st Philippines e-Government Awards by winning the Overall Excellence Award for e-Census (www.eCensus.com.ph). The recognition is bestowed on the government agency that best accomplishes its functions using electronic data messages or electronic documents. NSO obtained this honor upon the unanimous decision of the Board of Judges, led by Abet dela Cruz, co-chairman, Legal and Regulatory Committee of the Information Technology and E-Commerce Council. The ceremonies were held last November 20, 2002 at the Intercontinental Hotel in Makati City, Philippines.
e-Census also won in the e-Filing category, an award given to the government agency that shows exemplary performance in the creation, filing, or retention of government documents in the form of electronic data messages or electronic documents. |
| | | In line with the vision towards e-governance, e-Census started serving the public last March 2001 as an alternative channel for requesting copies of birth, marriage, and death certificates online. This web component is part of the NSO-Civil Registry System (NSO-CRS) Project, a partnership of NSO and Unisys Philippines.
The Philippine e-Government Awards are given by the Philippine Internet Commerce Society (PICS) in recognition of government agencies’ relevant IT projects complying with the e-Commerce Law. Awards were given in categories such as e-Filing, e-Permit, e-Payment, and Overall Excellence. A special citation for community impact was also presented during the event. |
| | | | | The NSO makes headway as it expands the online credit card payment facility to credit cards issued in Japan, Australia and New Zealand. The agency has implemented this enhancement in e-Census so that Filipinos in these countries will have a convenient means to pay for requests for copies of civil registry records. Online payments will be through the payment gateway of KabayanCentral.com. It accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover cards. |
